NEW 3rd Edition available now! Washington State offers many beautiful and often remote and secluded campgrounds throughout the state. From the lush green Rainforest of the Olympic Peninsula to the rugged mountain regions of the Northeast, and south through the Yakima Valley and as far southeast as the northern reaches of the Umatilla National Forest located just south of the small but quaint town of Pomeroy. Rivers, streams, lakes and mountains await your visit with plenty of hiking trails available that you can use for day hike excursions or take off for days of wilderness exploring. If you enjoy canoeing or kayaking, be sure to bring them along since many of these campgrounds are set on lakes, some big enough to spend days exploring. Bring your bicycles as well! The most important thing though is to get out there and enjoy the beautiful areas that Washington State has to offer. Beats the heck out of camping on pavement. Another camping season come and gone. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have visited the website and all that have purchased campgrounds books this year. And to the campers that sent in changes and locations of new sites, you are doing us all a great service. This is not only a big help to me but you are also helping your fellow campers find what I hope are the perfect campsites. Wishing all of you the happiest of holidays and I look forward to hearing from you next year. Books will be on sale here again in March of 2012. Ray |
